E-Course Notes Guide — Top 15 FAQs

What is TaF.tc E-Course Notes?

It’s physical course-notes made digital. It is available for download on a laptop, tablet or a mobile device. E-course notes are only available for students taking modules under the TaF.tc’s Apparel Diploma or Footwear Diploma. For those taking other professional short courses, stay tuned!

How to get started?

As soon as you enrol for a module, you will receive an automated E-mail on your login credentials within 5 working days.

On your mobile devices or tablets, you can download TaF.tc E-Book either on ‘Play Store’ (Android) or ‘App Store’ (Apple). Under the search bar, key in ‘taftc ebook’.

On your laptop, you will not be able to download any desktop application for the E-Course Note. However, you can access them on the Google Chrome web browser. Key in this link: https://www.taftc.org/ebook

Why E-Course Notes and not hard copy?

Here are three reasons!

  1. By going digital, all our course notes are available in colours. Gone are the black and white days!
  2. Get the most up-to-date course-notes. As the fashion industry evolves, we will make constant updates to the course-notes to include the most relevant contents. From the module start date, the E-Course Notes will be available to you for 3 years. You can subsequently renew them at SGD1 per annum per module.
  3. Having our E-course notes available on both websites and mobile devices, you can access them anytime and anywhere. China included!


Here are some great tips on how to overcome the initial barrier!

  1. Use a tablet or a laptop
  2. Attempt the digital course notes with an open mind. Push yourself to sit through the E-Course Notes for at least 1 module!
  3. Trust the process! Many hundreds of diploma graduates have tried our E-course notes and said that it took them a while to get the hang of it. But as soon as that happens, the rest is history. Including the aunties too!

Is there a limit on the number of devices I can use for the E-Course Note?

To allow students to access their E-Course Notes on multiple devices, we have set the limit at a maximum of up to three devices. This means you can access them on your laptop, tablet and also your mobile phone.

Which device should I try them out first?

Try them out on all your devices! Find the one that best suits you! Keep in mind to keep them within 3 devices.

How do I download the E-Course Notes into my computer?

To protect TaF.tc’s intellectual property, we have disabled the download PDF feature. You can, however, access your most up-to-date E-course notes from multiple platforms; mobile apps and web browser. Make sure to download the E-Course Notes so that you can use them even without the Internet.

Can I print the E-course notes by myself?

To protect TaF.tc’s intellectual property, we have disabled the printing of option. 

What is the difference between TaF.tc’s E-Books and E-Course Notes?

They are the same. We just happen to use the terms interchangeably.

I have not received my E-Course Notes e-mail after I enrol? What should I do?

First, check if you are enrolled in any of the modules under the Apparel or Footwear Diploma. Our administrator will release the E-Course notes access within the week of enrolment. For diploma enrolments, you will receive the first 3 E-Course Notes and E-learning modules within the week after full course fee payment is received.

Can I take notes or annotate on the E-Course Notes?

Yes, you can. Tutorial Link here. Students are also encouraged to take along a physical notebook to jot down notes during their on-campus training.

How come the download PDF button on the E-Course Notes doesn’t work?

The download PDF button is only to export notes taken on the E-Course Notes. It will be exported as an extension ‘.txt’. You can use a pdf converter to convert the file into PDF. 

Which E-mail will I receive for my E-Course Notes?

It will be based on the E-mail address that you have indicated upon enrolment or in TaF.tc’s student portal.

What do I do when I encounter an error message on “You have reached the maximum number of devices you are allowed to use for your E-Course Notes”

Don’t panic! Send an E-mail to our support for assistance!

When will students get access? How long will they have access for after the course is over?

From the module start date, the E-Course Notes will be available to you for 3 years.You can subsequently renew them at SGD1 per annum per module.

What happens if I forget my password?

On the login portal, click on ‘forget password’. An automated E-mail will be sent to your E-mail on the reset instructions.
