Blog title: Practical AI & E-Commerce Strategies for the Holiday Season Event on 14 August 2024

Holiday seasons are a critical time for eCommerce brands to increase sales and maximise revenue. Nevertheless, many firms struggle to capitalise on this opportunity properly. This could be due to a lack of a sound strategy, imprecise demand forecasting, issues matching discounts with profitability, or inadequate planning.

On August 14, 2024, Choco Up , BeLive, Engages AI and NextGenAI hosted an event at TaF.tc. More than 40 e-commerce founders attended the event to learn insights and exchange ideas for navigating these hurdles.

  1. Charmain Tan from Engages AI provided great insights into AI chatbots and automated responses, emphasising how personalised AI can remember your name and past interactions to respond appropriately. The Engages.ai chatbot offers a remarkably human-like conversation experience by tailoring responses based on user input. This results in interactions that feel like you're talking to a real person. At the end of the presentation, a QR code demonstration was given to explain how the AI chatbot operates on WhatsApp.
  1. Byung Jun Lee from BeLive spoke about their Live and Video Commerce SaaS (Software as a Service), which integrates livestreaming straight into your website and automatically publishes it across all social media platforms. This approach ensures that all leads are driven back to your website, which improves tracking and allows for a more effective marketing campaign. LoRa’s features, including shoppable videos and fast purchasing options, make it easier to convert viewers into buyers, which is especially useful during the high-traffic holidays. This strategy can greatly increase conversions and overall revenue.

They have successfully collaborated with businesses such as Grab, Mediacorp, ShopBack, Rakuten, Trendyol, and Genting Group over the years. BeLive Technology is the official live streaming technology partner of the world’s top e-commerce companies. Trendyol, ZALORA, Bath & Body Works, TUMI, and Grab are just a few examples of such notable companies.

  1. Bart Jeung from Choco Up provided advice on requesting for revenue-based funding, reviewing your success over the last six months, and developing a good business strategy. They provide 'pay-as-you-earn' payback and 'grow now, pay later' funding solutions, allowing firms to access capital immediately while spreading payments over time, addressing the issues faced by startups and business owners.

Choco Up, Asia’s #1 revenue-based financing platform, is a Singapore and Hong Kong-based revenue-based finance (RBF) and growth platform that provides capital to support businesses’ growth, inventory, and cash flow requirements. RBF helps businesses to raise funding based on future revenue, with Choco Up receiving a portion of the company’s revenue in return. They have backed firms from seed to pre-IPO, assisting several companies successfully going public.

  1. Frank from NextGenAi spoke about the disruptive potential of generative AI in marketing, stressing how these sophisticated processes may produce meaningful results. He explored the integration of AI into content strategy, emphasising the significance of data-driven storytelling and customised AI solutions. Companies can use artificial intelligence to build more engaging and effective marketing campaigns that are targeted to the requirements and tastes of their target audience. Frank also explained how these techniques may be used to refine content and improve overall marketing performance.

Q&A and Networking Session

A vibrant Q&A session during which participants interacted with guest speakers to explain their questions and get deeper insights.

Following the speakers and Q&A session, attendees got the opportunity to socialise and network. New connections were made in a welcoming setting, encouraging more discussion and prospective collaboration!

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event a success. We hope you gained useful insights and are excited to go on a transformational path to design powerful campaigns for critical holiday seasons and beyond!
